How to calculate safe period and fertile period?

                       In many FORUMS and QUESTION-ANSWER sites I have seen a common topic that is nothing but “SAFE PERIOD”. In this Life, most of the peoples want to enjoy their sexlife without any fear of pregnancy. So they like to calculate safe period method as a precaution than other contraceptive methods.
                                                 But this method is not so accurate because the date of the menstrual period varies according to the lifestyle, stress, and climates. So here we are mentioning the right methods for calculating  SAFEPERIOD

The Calculating steps are as following,

Step 1-                     The first and main thing is that you should take at least 6 months period date and duration of each months menstrual period. That means Calculate first day of the last month  menstrual bleeding  to  the first  day of the  present menstrual  bleeding duration of a menstrual period.

For example: Your last month menstrual period is March 10^th 2013 and the present month period date is April 8^th 2013.So your menstrual duration is 10^th   March to 8^th April 2013- that is 28days.So take a diary and calculate your every period  duration of last 6 months date like this method. The menstrual cycle  varies every month (26-31days).So consider 26 is the Shortest cycle and 31^st is the longest cycle.

Step 2

          Mostly the ovulation (Ovum production)  occurs in the middle of your menstrual cycle ,that means ovulation will be on 13 to 16 days after your period.

     For calculating Safe period, we should know the fertile period. Here the method of calculating fertile period

·         Your shortest menstrual cycle  -(minus)18 days   to your longest menstrual cycle –(minus)10 days

That means in our example we said that 26 to 31 is menstrual cycle duration of 6 months

Shortest menstrual cycle   26-18= 8   and Longest Menstrual Cycle is 31-10=21

So fertile period (period to be pregnant) is 8th to 21^st date of that month

So the time period other than fertile period is Safe period. That means 1st to 7^th day  and 22^nd to 31^st day are the safe periods of this example. In this way you can calculate the safe period

Now see How I am calculating safe period with our example

As we said above Last menstrual period is 10^th march 2013

Present Menstrual period is 8^th April 2013

Menstrual Cycle duration is 26-31 days

Safe period starts from March 10^th to 17   and April 1^st to 8

Fertile period is March 18th to 31^st.

Simple way is First day of last menstrual cycle +7days and 7day before Present Menstrual cycle
